Texas sect children return home

The raids at the Yearning For Zion ranch started on 3 April

More than 400 children who were seized from a polygamist sect in Texas have begun returning home.

A judge in Texas signed an order allowing parents to take the children, who were removed from the sect's ranch by state authorities in April.

Officials had accused members of the sect of forcing young girls into under-age sex.

But last week the Texas Supreme Court said officials had failed to prove the children faced immediate danger.

Following Monday's ruling the first parents had emotional reunions with their children, the Associated Press news agency reported.

"It's just a great day," said Nancy Dockstader, as she embraced one of five children taken by authorities.

Texan sect reunions within days

More than 400 children taken into care from a polygamist sect in Texas can rejoin their parents from Monday, state officials have announced.

The state's supreme court ruled earlier that protection agents had had no authority to seize the children in a raid on the ranch where they all lived.

State officials had accused adult sect members of abusing children.

Yesterday I heard of an elected Texas official that said the State should take the assets of this Mormon Church sect (The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints)  to cover the expenses from the State's kidnapping of over four hundred of their children. To you sir I say DON'T TREAD ON ME or my fellow CITIZENS.  I for one have had enough of you and your swine.  Texas law enforcement is out of control at every turn.  To my fellow citizens: I suggest you take that RETARD check, if and when you get it, from the IRS and buy ammo; an idea I got from reading Benjamin Franklin's auto biography.  If you do not have a gun give the ammo to your neighbors that do have arms; then when the pigs come for your children or property or liberty, we all shall take arms!  I do not say this as eloquently as Thomas Jefferson when he wrote: "God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ... And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.": Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), US Founding Father, drafted the Declaration of Independence, 3rd US President - Source: November 13, 1787, letter to William S. Smith, quoted in Padover's Jefferson On Democracy

    2008 TEXAS BUM PIG AWARD
Take one prank phone call and here come the pigs.
At least these children were not burned alive as were the children in Waco!
                   Traumatized?
I cannot imagine what the State told those poor kids or the torrent of emotions they must have endured, and the parents as well.  I know from my own personal case, the State told my former wife that if she did not do as they said, they would take our kids.  The result was the destruction of my family, I can well imagine the damage done in this fiasco will reverberate for generations to come.
Legal Cost?
Oh, by the way, we are paying for all of this with our tax dollars,
thus this years "Texas Bum Pig of the Year" award.  $$$$$$$.$$

Court win for Texas sect parents

Martha Emack, parent and member of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
Martha Emack, one of the parents who brought the case

The Supreme Court in the US state of Texas has ruled children taken from the ranch of a polygamist sect must be returned to their parents.

Officials raided the compound in April, saying young girls were being forced into marriage and sex. The children were placed into foster care.

The court said child welfare officials had overstepped their authority.

It said that it had not been proven some 460 children taken from the ranch were in immediate danger.

The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints had denied abuse and said it was being persecuted.

Mexico probes online 'hitmen ads'

Killer adverts online
Just a click away: Online 'killers' boast a professional service

Mexican police are investigating a number of classified ads on the internet which purport to be from hitmen offering the services.

The ads can be found alongside ones for private tuition or domestic help.

In one of them, a person describing himself as an ex-military killer offers "discreet, professional services" for $6,000 (£3,000).

Hired killers are a problem across a country which has seen at least 1,400 killings this year.

Most of the killings are related to drug cartels battling for control of the illegal drugs trade to the US. Reports say the cartels have camps to train killers.

......ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAD INFORMED OTHERS IN AUTHORITY OF THEIR PLAN ...,THAT BEING THEY WOULD PLANT ON AND FRAME ME..... DAYS BEFORE THEY DD IT OR EVEN HAD A WARRENT. NOT ONE OF THE LYING BASTARDS HAS EVER BEEN CHARGED. THEY ARE CROOKS WITH BADGES AND IN COLLUSION.

Gunmen have killed at least nine people and injured six more in an attack on a cattle ranch in southern Mexico, authorities have said.

At least 40 people launched the attack outside the home of a prominent cattle breeder in Guerrero state, police said.

It was the second attack to target ranchers in as many days. On Saturday at least seven people died in another shooting in the same state.

Guerrero has experienced a wave of violence blamed on drug cartels.

In the past three years, Mexico has been the setting for a violent confrontation between drug cartels and government forces in which nearly 6,000 people have died.

Hitler plot survivor dies aged 90

Von Boeselager obtained explosives used in the assassination attempt

The last known survivor of a group of German army officers who tried to assassinate Adolf Hitler in 1944 has died aged 90, his family says. Philipp von Boeselager provided the explosives used to pack a briefcase planted under a table in the Nazi leader's East Prussia headquarters. But the briefcase was moved behind one of the oak table's wooden legs, and Hitler escaped with only slight wounds. Most of the plotters were executed, but Mr Von Boeselager escaped detection

The US a Press Threat

Freed Guantanamo prisoner is home

Egyptian journalists hold a banner supporting Al Jazeera cameraman Sami al-Hajj, during a protest in Cairo, Egypt, 15 March, 2007
Protests had been held in the Arab world calling for Mr al-Hajj's release

A cameraman from the al-Jazeera television station, freed from US detention in Guantanamo Bay, has arrived home in Sudan.

Sami al-Hajj had been in US custody for more than six years. He was detained in Afghanistan in 2001.

He arrived in the Sudanese capital Khartoum on a US military plane in the early hours of Friday morning.

After a 16-month hunger strike Mr Hajj grimaced as he was carried off the plane by US military personnel

"His detention for six years, without the most basic due process, is a grave injustice and represents a threat to all journalists working in conflict areas,"
